Today at school we had hall day. Our hall day was a whole day of ICT:)

Our task was to write an appropriate children’s book for children around the age of 5 or 6. We were put into groups of three.

The group i was in decided to write a children’s book based on some of the art work on the StoryBird website. Me, Adam and Vanessa wrote ours about a lonely volcano girl called Lava and her three friends Noodles and PB&J They were up against the two school bullies R&B and in the end they defeated them with the help of Burt ‘the super dog’.

I enjoyed today because it was a change from the other hall days that we have had

Review of Netbooks :)

Since we have had the Netbooks we have used them in most lessons such as:

- E.H, Maths, Science, P.E &Art!

We have used them a lot in E.H&Science. In E.H we use them for our starters, main work and homework! When we use them in Science we use them for power points and essays.

The best pieces of work i have used my Netbook are is my homework. I find it easier to type than to hand write my work:)

My Netbook has made the most difference at home and at school. At school it is easier to do class work and when i am at home i argue less about who gets to go on the computer

I think it has improved my learning a lot.

A couple of problems that i have had with my laptop is that the battery runs out quite quickly now where as it took a while for it to run out when we first got them and one of the screws has come out from the bottom.

I use it at home quite a lot. I use it for going on YouTube and especially FACEBOOK!!

Overall i think having a Netbook has helped me a lot at school and at home.

My first week with the Netbook :)

Hey, i am a student at Stantonbury Campus. My class entered a competition last year. The competition was the class with the best and most meaningful presentation and who deserved to win, won a Netbook for each member in the class, and of course we won

All of 9pjs were really excited to get the Netbooks and when we finally got them we couldn’t wait to get started! The Netbooks are a great privilege and of course; THEY ARE AMAZING !! :L

We enjoy using them and they are a big help with our work. It is a lot easier using them in tutorial, E.H, Science etc, rather than hand writing in our books!

As we are in year 9 now, having the Netbooks gives us a great privilege of being able to research and type up any essays, assignments or homework that we have, rather than going to computer club or the library.

Using the Netbooks in my spare time has been fun (especially with the webcam!) One lunch, some of the girls were really bored so we all decided to take pictures, it was a really nice idea and we all had a proper laugh! even some of the boys joined in :) the pictures were really funny and we all loved them (:

When im at home, i spend most of my time on the Netbook, especially because we can access Facebook :’)

All of the class are really happy that we won the Netbooks!!

I will try to update my blog as often as possible (No Promises!)
